Modern terminals, optimum service for our passengers – this was the core vision behind the plans to enlarge Hamburg Airport. All passenger handling facilities are to be housed in two spacious, architecturally appealing terminals. A shopping plaza with stores, boutiques and restaurants will link the two terminals. It is to be exclusively for the use of passengers, allowing them to pass the time between check- in and departure pleasurably. Hamburg Airport will become one of Europe's most modern and passenger- friendly airports.
The new suburban railway connection and more parking spaces will further enhance the level of service provided at the airport. An additional attraction will be the new airport hotel directly in front of the terminals.
