On more than 600 sqm exhibition space in the AOL Arena, the venue of the FIFA World Cup 2006, a sport museum has been founded that offers unequaled opportunities. Beneath the principal theme "Football", the HSV Museum also shows exhibits of its other sports like for example handball, hockey or chess.
The visitors get unique insights on the history of the Hamburger Sportverein and his compartments since 1887. In a treasure chamber all famous prosperities are presented and get revived, like the UEFA Cup Trophy, the German DFB Pokal or the so called "Meisterschale" - the cup for the German football champion.
