For the past few weeks Hamburg Ballet has been working diligently on Nijin sky’s Le Sacre du Printemps, or The Rite of Spring as it is usually referred to in English . It is an extraordinary, groundbreaking ballet that was created in 191 3 by Vaslav Nijinsky and reconstructed by Millicent Hodson and Kenneth Archer in 1987.
