The transfer of Gareth Barry to Liverpool may of hit another glitch after Liverpool priced out Hamburg’s shock bid for the dutchman. The Daily Mail reported that ex-Tottenham boss Martin Jol is a huge fan of Kuyt and has recentley enquired about his services until Rafa told the German club they want £16m for the flying Dutchman. With Kuyt and Alonso looking increasingly likely to stay at Anfield, co-owners Hicks & Gillett are going to struggle to raise the funds for the on-going transfer
